We are Reducing!

Dominion Payroll is going green, slashing our carbon footprint, increasing our biodiversity, helping the ecosystem, reducing emissions… DPS is progressing into our GREENAPSIS! (It is actually a word, check it out)

We have been thinking about this for years and we have decided to pull the carbon trigger. As we have grown, we have watched our output of paper, toner, stamps, and distribution dramatically increase. A surprisingly large amount of this adds no value to our community partners - it is simply waste.

We asked our employees one question: “What could we do even better to make DPS a truly great organization?” They responded loudly: “Go Green!”. So… we are. Earth Day 2012 is the day. On April 22, 2012 DPS will bio-metamorphosis into a green company.

What does this mean to you?

1. We are going to discontinue printing reports with payrolls. Of course, there are exceptions to every rule, but we are going to really try to make this happen. That does not mean you won’t get your reports! You will now receive them electronically, which is faster and more secure. Win/Win.
2. We intend to stop printing Direct Deposit vouchers for most clients. You will hear more very soon on our electronic delivery options including Employee Self-Service and email distribution of Pay Vouchers.
3. Live checks will still be delivered, yet there are many exciting replacement options, such print-back and paycards. Get in touch with us if you want to learn more about the options available.

Clients and friends: we are prepared for this shift and eager to embrace a greener DPS. We will not force anyone to transition that is uncomfortable with this change. Yet, we ask that you give it a try.
