At the Spring 2011 Seminar, two members of our tax team wowed attending clients with a behind-the-scenes look at Dominion Payroll's tax department. Ken Fetzer and Nick Lehto educated the group on how we make payments to the Federal & State governments, file tax returns, assist in account registration and most importantly: steps to avoid tax notices.
Nick and Ken’s Checklist for Easy Tax Account Management
- Create a list of your tax accounts
- Know your account numbers
- Know your unemployment rate
- Know your filing frequency (how often must payments be remitted?)
- W-2s up-to-date (SSN, Addresses, etc.)
