Step-By-Step Instructions on Submitting Payroll Data

1. Home Screen
Here is the payroll home page. From the menu on the left, you can change employee demographic information, adjust pay codes, upload time & attendance info, or review rates. But for the purposes of this video, we'll skip straight to the payroll submission. In the left hand menu, click Submit Payroll
2. Payroll Wizard
This opens the Payroll submission wizard. This wizard will walk you through everything you need to review before the final submission.
First, we review the paid employees, based on the information in your paygrid. Double check this with your time and attendance records for your hourly employees to ensure you are paying them correctly. It will also list your employees that are not being paid this pay period. Once everything checks out, click save and continue.
3. Earnings Codes
Next you will see the totals for all of your company's earning codes. Dominion Payroll's flexible system allows for an unlimited number of earning codes. So, no matter the number of employees or departments you have, Dominion Payroll keeps your payroll organized.
4. Dates
Here you have the review of the payroll dates, including the period start, the period end, and the check date. You can also enter a check-stub message, that will be printed on the physical checks.
5. Deductions
Next you can review all of the payroll deductions. With this screen you can ensure all deductions are accurately enabled or disabled for the current pay period.
6. Payroll Reports
On this screen, you can request specific payroll reports. These will be printed with the checks and delivered in your payroll packet. For example, if you wanted a year to date report in the middle of a quarter, you would request the year to date report here.
7. Submit Payroll
After you have confirmed all of your payroll revisions, you can submit your payroll. If you have special instructions for our processors, you can write your message in the text field, and it will be sent to us along with your payroll data. When you are ready to send us your payroll, check the box and click send. Your payroll has been submitted!
